Absconding businessman Vijay Mallya seen attending Virat Kohli's charity event

Vijay Mallya was spotted at Virat Kohli's charity event in London

After getting all the right attention from the media juggernauts the king of good times Vijay Mallya has spoken his mind on the amount of "wide sensational coverage" he received while attending the thrilling India vs Pakistan match at Edgbaston. In a blatant display of arrogance, he tweeted that he will participate in all future games the team plays.

A BCCI official is quoted as saying, "The Indian team wasn't comfortable and they maintained a dignified distance from Mallya". The Indian Government is trying hard for extradition of Mallya for the alleged unpaid debts. However, that did not prevent the liquor magnate from enjoying the event from the VIP section of the Edgbaston stadium along with a pitch pass.

Mallya also tweeted praises for skipper Virat Kohli, who has also been the captain of his IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore. But normally what happens at the charity dinner is that someone who has bought a table is entitled to invite his guests.

A BCCI source present at the event confirmed that Kohli and the Indian team were "uncomfortable" due to Mallya's presence.

Mallya had already been photographed watching India's Champions Trophy opener against Pakistan from the stands earlier in the day.

Virat Kohli had hosted the ball on Monday for an organisation that tackles human trafficking.

Although Mallya attending Indian matches is something we can understand, but the special appearance at Kohli's charity event and that too without being invited is something we can't digest.

"His presence creates a very uncomfortable situation for the cricketers", said a source.

He was also recently arrested by Scotland Yard, but released on bail after having been produced before the Westminster Magistrates' Court. "They can not ask him to leave or turn their back on him if he wants to have a conversation".
